Bio
AnaMarie King [1998, Washington DC] is an emerging, multi-disciplinary artist. Originally self taught, King has obtained a degree in photography at American University (2024). Driven by experimental studio practice, King utilizes chance and chaos to develop the materials into new form. Considering the intersection of marginalized identity markers, such as race, gender, and age, King's work looks at the social structure, exposing and mocking the rigidness enforced by societal norms. King has exhibited at a variety of art spaces in the DC Metro Area, and is co-curator of MidMountain Arts Center in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
